The making of the Ident

Firstly I started with this green grunge background to make the background of the ident.

I had to open this background into Photoshop to create the foundation of my ident. After placing this background into this software I put my font on top. I used the unrealized font Dafont.com

After saving the ident foundation from Photoshop, I transferred the image to Aftereffects to start creating the short clip. 

I made a new composition on Aftereffects of a black background on my image to start the editing process.

I used the Eclipse tool to make this oval shape.

By using the Eclipse tool, I have created the shadowed darkness towards the edge of the image by changing the mask feather and opacity.

I added a CC glass effect to my basis to make my background more 3D and to look realistic. During this effect it allowed me to change the image in terms of softness, height, displacement, ambient, diffuse, specular, roughness and metal to create the preferable look that I wanted.

I added a new layer to my project which was light. I added a green light as green and black are my house colours for my new channel. 

I carried on changing the image using the light to my preferable look.

This is where I used the time scale along the bottom of the screen grab to film my ident. I took the light all the way to the far left on my project and time scale and then turned the ambient, diffuse, specular, roughness and metal all the way down so it was completely back to make my ident more effective. I done the same to the far right of the project and time scale to turn the settings down to make it completely black

I went to 5 seconds in my time scale (half way through the short clip) to change the light of the image so when the light moved from left to right past the font it brightened the ident to how I liked. I changed the ambient, diffuse, specular, roughness and metal using the stop watch buttons next the settings. This is when I finished the project and I just had to render it.

I rendered this project on Adobe Media Encounter as I had a lot of trouble as it wouldn't render properly on Adobe After Effects.

After rendering the project this is the outcome of the nearly finished ident.

I placed the video clip of my ident on Windows Movie Maker to add on some background music. I added Radioactive by Imagine Dragons as my chosen sound track as it went with my chosen channel name. 

Then I saved my finished ident to make sure it was in the right video format.
