How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

I used laptops and the school computers because the contained the software I needed to edit my main and ancillary projects.

Weebly was used to create my website for my channel, Weebly was the best to make and edit my site on because it allowed me to use many features like titles, texts, images, videos, buttons and dividers. It also allowed me to use 10 free pages to create my website which was just enough to allow me the important factors for a site channel. Weebly let me have certain freedom with my pages for instance my main page I could change as a landing page and this allowed for a photo and a heading. On the other pages I could customize if I wanted no header, short header, tall header or landing page. As I spent more time editing, I learnt how to make the set out better by using dividers and spacers. The programme allowed me to import my Radioactive logo to the top of all my pages to make it more professional.

I used Photoshop to create a poster for my Radioactive ident for the basic background that I later edited in Aftereffects to make my ident animated. I had to watch a few YouTube tutorials to understand the complex software but once I got the hang of it I found out that you could basically do anything on Aftereffects if you knew how to correctly. This software allowed me to use features such as editing of the lighting, 3D options, filters, movement and animated clips. I also edited my TV poster in Photoshop, I changed the filters and vibrancy settings to my liking and added all of the fonts on top of my edited image, I installed my channel font ‘unrealised’ from Dafont.com into Photoshop so I could use my preferred font on the poster.

I used two different types of cameras to take my shots for my TV show poster and my teaser trailer for the new show. One of the cameras only took photos so this helped me know how to work another professional camera that I borrowed from the school. Using a professional camera to capture my footage made the clips a higher quality, I put the footage together using Windows Movie Maker it was really simple to use and gave me the correct options to cut my clips down, take the music out, add my preferred music on and add images that I could use for the text sections of my teaser trailer.
