How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
The three products are all linked through the house style and the supernatural genre I have decided to base my products around. The logo of my channel is used on my website, advert and ident which link the three making an iconic image for my channel that people will recognise. I used the same font for my logo and my show logo so when people see the font they will know it’s to do with my channel and that’s the Radioactive personal font style. This acts as a trigger for the audience as they will remember the font style. My house style of dark green and black will be iconic to the channel as it flows from my website to my ident to mesmerise the audience and give off a dark/dangerous aura, I changed the colour scheme for my advert for the show to go with its own house style of red to fit with the theme of the show but I kept the fonts the same to link it back within my channel.

I decided to use the same font throughout my
Radioactive logo and Struck logo because this would be the recognition
attraction to my channel, I also wanted my channel to pair up with a TV show
and sharing the same font linked these two up nicely and had a better effect
than having complete different font styles. The house style being linked into
my three products was effective because my audience knew that what they were
seeing was something to do with my channel. Connecting the house style from my
website through to my ident and some of my advert was quite common looking back
on my research as TV channels kept in theme to their colour scheme and style.
Looking at my genre of the channel I wanted it to come across as deadly and
different, whilst I looked at other TV channels and how they presented
themselves they gave off the genre that they represented and as I represent a
supernatural theme my colour scheme was very suiting. The young woman on my
Struck poster was looking confident into the camera this helps to give off a
brand to go with my channel as it wants to radiate boldness and a head strong
aura.
